Group Exercise Sessions
You can choose from the following:
1. Fit and Fabulous for over 50's:
Designed specifically for people over 55years of age. Low Impact exercises taking into account health issues that are prominent in that age bracket. The class incorporates walking drills and simple boxing techniques designed to improve heart fitness and burn fat. Participants will be given a proper warm up and cool down and stretching. Body weight and/or Therabands and light weights are also used to improve heart fitness, burn fat and increase functional strength and endurance while having a bit of fun and getting some social interaction. Duration 50min
Cost: $2 pp
When: Mondays 8.30am and Fridays 8.30am.

2. Yummy Mummies Boxing For Fitness:
Designed especially for women who have had babies… with exercises that are specifically aimed at repairing a woman’s body after having a baby. It is a non choreographed class involving station rotations that combine strength and power work with cardiovascular exercise using a variety of equipment including skipping ropes, 1-5kg weights, boxing gloves and mitts. All participants will be required to wear wrist straps and cotton inners for health and safety. Punch, duck and weave your way back into your jeans! Not suitable for women who have a baby <6weeks old or have had a caesarian <3mths ago. Duration 50min
Cost: $5 pp (bookings essential)
When: Mondays 9.30am and Fridays 9.30am

3. Heartmoves:
This program was developed by the National Heart Foundation in conjunction with a team of specialists in cardiology, endocrinology, diabetes educators, cardiac rehabilitation, behavioural science, exercise physiology, fitness and adult education. The result is a low-moderate intensity exercise program that is designed to be safe for those with or at risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, obesity, and for Falls Prevention. Duration 55min
Cost: $6 pp
When: Mondays 10.30am and Fridays 10.30am.

4. Mens Boxing Fitness Class:
This is a non choreographed class involving station rotations that combine strength and power work with cardiovascular exercise using a variety of equipment including skipping ropes, 1-5kg weights, boxing gloves and mitts. The class is designed so you can work at your own pace. Joke around with the “blokes” as you Punch, Duck and Weave your way to a fitter, healthier you! Duration 50min
Cost: $8.50 pp on a 10 session pass or $10 Casual
When: Mondays 6pm.

5. Boxing Blast:
This energetic cardiobox session combines cardio, circuts and boxing to ensure every area of your body becomes trim, taught and terrific. The class is designed so you can work at your own pace. All ages welcome. 8 week program. (Program will be extended if good community support)
Cost: $5 per session
When: Wednesdays 6am (October - March 5.45am start)
Where: Paradise Point - Esplanade North Park, The Esplanade
New Class Location: Pacific Pines - Central Park Hotham Way $3 per session
6. Group Fitness training
A fun and active group training program to suit people of all fitness levels - what a great way to start the day.
Cost: $2 per session
When: Mondays and Fridays 6am
Where: Coombabah - Grassy Park, Hansford Rd
7. Back to school fitness
Strengthen and tone your entire body gently using various free style and swiss ball exercises. Target your core muscles - and find those forgten abdominals! Each muscle set is then stretched to release tension and revitalise you. Unsuitable for anyone who has difficulty getting up and down off the ground. BYO Swiss ball and towel or mat. This class alternates weekly with a general group fitness class.
Cost: $6 per session
When: Wednesday Mornings 9.15am
Where: Coombabah State Primary school oval- Oxley Drive Coombabah.
8. Lungs in Action
Lungs in Action is an exercise maintenance program designed for people with stable chronic lung conditions (such as COPD) who have completed a pulmonary rehabilitation program. These classes have been specifically designed by The Australian Lung Foundation in conjunction with experts in Physiotherapy, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine and Exercise Physiology. The classes provide the essential structure that enables clients to maintain an exercise routine that is critical to keeping them well, socially connected and out of hospital.
Cost: $5 per session
When: Mondays 11:30am
